Public education is the backbone of our communities. Our kids are our future and they deserve the best chance at life, no matter their zip code. The state senate debated school funding, or should I say the lack of school funding, yesterday. Iowa knows the policies that would make our public schools competitive - we’ve been top in the country for education before. Now, we continue to slide down the ranks. Our kids deserve better - it doesn’t have to be this way.
