In the main event, The Nature Boy Ric Flair (with Sensuous Sherri) took on Hulk Hogan (with “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart) in a match for Hogan’s WCW World Heavyweight Championship. On June 23, 1994 WCW Clash of the Champions XXVII took place in North Charleston, South Carolina from the North Charleston Coliseum. In the main event, WCW World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair and WCW International World Heavyweight Champion Sting faced off in a unification title match.
