Most dancers don’t realize how different the muscles are between demi-pointe and full pointe. The muscle memory you build for one doesn’t automatically transfer to the other. You have to find that deeper engagement. I sometimes have to test it out myself to teach it better, to understand the feeling, and to truly feel which muscles are working.
