Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule has named coach/passing game coordinator John Butler as the interim defensive coordinator for the bowl game.

Nebraska football's defensive coordinator Tony White is reportedly expected to be hired to the same position at Florida State.

White turned down at least one opportunity to leave Nebraska after last season. And now, Matt Rhule's best hire is officially moving on.
