In a press release, North Carolina revealed that Belichick was a big factor in the decision to switch back to a grass field, stating, "The decision to convert back to grass was made in consultation with new [Belichick] — with the best experience for the program in mind."

It hasn't taken long for Bill Belichick to leave his mark in Chapel Hill. After securing a number of talented players in the transfer portal as he builds up his 2025 roster, the school's football stadium will also be undergoing some renovations it announced Monday.
