Bihar Govt Formation: NDA chalks out 'six MLAs per minister' formula for Nitish cabinet, say sources

Nitish Kumar will remain the Chief Minister of Bihar, sources have indicated, with the formation of the new state government expected in another three days after the cabinet formula was finalised at a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Union Minister Chirag Paswan stated on Saturday that members of his party, LJP (Ram Vilas), met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to congratulate him on the resounding victory of the ruling NDA and to discuss the formation of the next state government.
In the Bihar assembly elections 2025, the NDA clinched 202 seats in the 243-member Assembly. The BJP won 89 seats, while the JD(U) secured 85. Allies LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM and RLSP also won seats, contributing to the alliance’s majority.
