Tesla's Cybercab has officially hit Austin streets, but federal regulators wasted no time opening an investigation into how the driverless EV was certified.

Now 45 of the vehicles, which do not have steering wheels or pedals, are registered to operate on Tesla’s robotaxi network in Texas.
