Shortly following the loss, wide receivers JJ Harrell (true freshman) and Creed Whittemore (sophomore) entered the transfer portal. Harrell is a former 4-star prospect who was once committed to Tennessee before flipping his commitment to Lebby’s Bulldogs. He did not see action for Mississippi State in 2024.
