Dozens of police squads are on the scene of a shooting that injured several people, including two police officers, near the Minneapolis Convention Center late Wednesday afternoon.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — At least one person was killed and six others injured in a shooting at an apartment building in downtown Minneapolis shooting, according to officials. The Minneapolis Police Department warned the public to stay away from the area and said two police officers were among those wounded.

Their conditions were not immediately known. The authorities urged people to avoid the area of downtown where the shooting occurred.
