A wind storm, rain, thunder and lightning on Monday knocked out power across the Salem area with a tornado warning issued for part of Marion County.

A tornado warning that was issued for parts of Clackamas and Marion counties has expired. The National Weather Service issued the tornado warning for Northwestern Clackamas County in northwestern Oregon after a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Molalla,

On Saturday at 11:05 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated tornado warning in effect until 11:30 p.m. for Marion County.

Hundreds in the Willamette Valley remained without power Tuesday morning after a wind storm, thunder and lightning on Monday evening.
