An Air India crash Thursday involved a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which the aircraft manufacturer first delivered 14 years ago.
The London-bound plane had barely left the runway at Ahmedabad airport before it was careening back to earth. In a video, the aircraft is seen slowly sinking behind residential buildings, before a huge fireball blasts upward.
More than 200 people were killed when an Air India plane traveling to London crashed in Ahmedabad, India, an official said. At least one person survived.
Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a British national, appears to be the only survivor of Air India flight 171, which crashed with 242 people aboard.
