Hannah Kobayashi’s disappearance remains a mystery as her family and friends desperately search for answers piecing together what happened to her and what may have led to her radio silence.

Missing Maui woman Hannah Kobayashi had planned to go on her New York City bucket list trip with her ex-boyfriend – who ended up making it to their final destination while she did not. Kobayashi has been missing since she failed to board a connecting flight at Los Angeles International Airport on her way from Hawaii to New York City on November 8.

Kobayashi disappeared and stopped contacting her family just days after missing a connecting flight from Maui to New York at LAX, which “the investigation determined was intentional,” McDonnell said at a Nov. 26 Board of Police Commissioners meeting.

Hannah Kobayashi was involved in many creative and entrepreneurial projects before the 30-year-old disappeared this month. She was headed to New York to photograph a performance, but never got on a flight she was supposed to take,
