The win earned Texas a spot in the Dec. 7 SEC Championship Game in Atlanta against Georgia. The Longhorns and Dawgs played earlier in the season and Georgia dominated the game, 30-15, Texas’ lone loss of the season. Against the Aggies, Quintreviou Wisner rushed for 186 yards on 33 carries. Arch Manning had a rugged touchdown run.

The Georgia Bulldogs will have a rematch with the Texas Longhorns in the 2024 SEC championship game. Georgia already beat Texas 30-15 earlier this season. Georgia won in Austin back in October thanks to a dominant defensive performance. Georgia forced four Texas turnovers and recorded seven sacks en route to a big road win over the Longhorn

No. 3 Texas beat the No. 20 Aggies 17-7 on Saturday night to clinch a spot in the SEC title game against Georgia on Dec. 7. It was the first game between the longtime rivals since the two teams last shared a conference in 2011.
