A recall of cucumbers related to a salmonella outbreak that has left 68 people sickened has expanded to include produce sold by two additional companies in 25 states. The expanded recall comes just days after the U.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently issued a recall of whole cucumbers distributed by Arizona-based company SunFed Produce across North America, including in Connecticut.

On November 29, the CDC also issued a food safety alert linking a multistate Salmonella outbreak (concerning the specific strain Salmonella Typhimurium) to the recalled cucumbers. As of November 26, there have been 68 infections reported across the following 19 states,
