Georgia up to No. 4 in AP poll, Sooners back in top 10 and Mean Green ranked for 1st time since 1959
Georgia has moved up to No. 4 in The Associated Press poll, Oklahoma is back in the top 10 and North Texas is ranked for the first time since 1959.
Texas A&M maintained its standing in the top three after a comeback win over South Carolina, while Texas Tech moved up two spots to No. 6. Oklahoma is also in the top 10 after its upset of Alabama. Meanwhile, Texas fell to No. 17 after its stumble on the road at Georgia.
Navy, Tulane, North Texas and the East Carolina Pirates all have one loss in conference play. None of those four teams play each other in the next two weeks. Navy owns the head-to-head tiebreaker over North Texas, while Tulane beat East Carolina earlier in the season.
Michigan barely got past Northwestern on Saturday and that was reflected in the new Associated Press college football poll.
