Kirk Cousins has started for almost the entirety of this 13-season NFL career. And with a four-year, $180 million contract including $100 million in guarantees, he's being paid by the Atlanta Falcons like a starting NFL quarterback.

Cousins will enter the season as the backup behind Michael Penix Jr. Peter Schrager of ESPN shuts down any rumor that he will be traded.

Cousins, who was demoted last season in favor of rookie Michael Penix Jr., said he had discussions with Atlanta about a possible trade but is focused on “moving forward.”
