US President-elect Donald Trump is likely to travel to India and China in the first few days of his Presidency. According to a report, a preliminary discussion on Donald Trump's visit to India has taken place during External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s trip to Washington and it is likely to coincide with the QUAD Summit.

The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, reported that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump may visit China within the first 100 days of his presidency. The newspaper recently stated that Trump has discussed his interest in traveling to China with his advisors, aiming to strengthen relations with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

China is facing a repeat of the tensions and uncertainty from the first presidency of Donald Trump, only with a weaker economy that’s even more reliant on exports than it was during the first trade war with the US.
