A nonprofit that provides health care for school children in Madison County said it’s facing uncertainty after changes to Medicaid as a result of the One Big Beautiful Bill.
The federal budget bill requires people on Medicaid to get recertified for eligibility twice a year. The expectation is that 350,000 will lose their Medicaid coverage in Florida, according to Jonathan Chapman, president and chief executive officer of the Florida Association of Community Health Centers.
