Paul Doyle drove into the mass of fans – hitting adults and children, who bounced off his vehicle or were dragged underneath it – simply because he lost his temper, prosecutors said.

Video footage showed the Ford Galaxy Titanium swerving through crowds on Dale Street, stopping for a short period and reversing sharply hitting an ambulance and the crowd behind.
