Moore’s firing came one week after the beginning of the early signing period, which could cause some recent signees to look elsewhere with Moore’s departure.
According to Josh Pate of ESPN and On3.com, multiple agents actually anticipated the Wolverines’ job opening up weeks earlier. Pate said there were whispers about Sherrone Moore’s job being in jeopardy for “performance-based reasons” anyway:
