The Boston College Eagles (9-10, 1-7 ACC) men’s basketball team suffered a 74-56 road loss to the Virginia Cavaliers (9-10, 2-6 ACC) on Tuesday night. The Eagles found themselves in a quick hole. The Cavaliers jumped out to a 14-4 lead with 13:55 to go in the first half.

Isaac McKneely scored 21 points to fuel Virginia's wire-to-wire 74-56 victory over Boston College in Atlantic Coast Conference play Tuesday in Charlottesville, Va.

Virginia (9-10, 2-6 ACC) opened on a 16-6 run and had a double-digit lead the rest of the way. The Cavaliers ended a five-game losing steak, their longest since a nine-game ACC skid in 2010. Boston College is 2-8 against Virginia since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Both will face off in an ACC battle at 7:00 p.m. ET at John Paul Jones Arena.

Boston College will look to snap its five-game losing streak on the road against North Carolina on Saturday at 2:15 p.m.

Only one more half stands between Louisville and the win they were favored to collect coming into this afternoon. They have a bit of a cushion as they currently lead Virginia 39-28. Louisville entered the matchup having won seven straight and they're just one half away from another.
