A special election is underway for three CVUSD school board areas after those contested races were inadvertently left off several ballots in November.

Due to a variety of factors affecting its performance rate, a decision to close Pacific Coast Charter School will go before the Pajaro Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees Wednesday. Pacific Coast Charter School is a homeschool public-dependent charter school that serves students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade.

One hundred fifty-one teachers and staff at the Pasadena Unified School District sit in limbo as the school board prepares to vote on layoffs Thursday night. The proposed layoffs are one part of a proposed district budget cut coming right after the Eaton fire.
