Thursday's storms, with heavy rain and wind gusts as high as 75 mph, caused outages for more than 350,000 utility customers across southeast Michigan.

The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-0 tornado touched down in Lincoln Park, Michigan, late Thursday afternoon.

The rain isn't stopping the kickoff of the Michigan State Fair, but officials said they're keeping an eye on the weather so no one's stuck on the Ferris wheel just as a thunderstorm hits.

Belle Isle - the state park just south of Islandview on the Detroit River - also had several felled trees. Crews from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources worked to clear tree trunks and limbs, and the rowing scull “Spirit of Detroit” could be seen hanging from a tree near the historic Detroit Boat Club.

Cleanup is underway from Michigan to Washington, D.C., after damaging winds, flooding rain and a possible tornado.
