Moana 2 is reaching demigod status after shattering record after record over the Thanksgiving holiday. The Walt Disney Animation sequel sailed into history with a Thanksgiving haul of $221 million, breaking numerous records including the biggest five-day opening of all time,

"Wicked," "Gladiator II," and "Moana 2" contributed to the $420 million raked in over the five-day period — the best-ever Thanksgiving box office sales.

The three movies brought in a combined $420 million to the box office during Thanksgiving weekend — surpassing the previous record of $315.6 million from 2018, when “Creed II,” “Ralph Breaks the Internet” and “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” were all in theaters.

Disney's "Moana 2," Universal's "Wicked" and Paramount's "Gladiator II" pushed the five-day Thanksgiving holiday to its biggest haul in cinematic history.
