Two women who conceived their eldest children when they were in abusive relationships have lost a legal challenge to rules around the so-called "rape clause" to the two-child benefit cap.

An Oregon judge has sentenced former NBA player Ben McLemore to more than eight years in prison for raping a woman at a house party in 2021.

K-pop star Taeil, a former member of the popular group NCT, has been sentenced to three years and six months in prison for rape, according to reports.

A man has been convicted of raping a woman while he was a Metropolitan Police officer. Jake Cummings, 26, who had been a special constable in Dorset before working in London, denied rape but was found guilty following a trial at St Albans Crown Court.

Luis Lema-Pomavilla was initially arrested in September and has been held without bail since then, police said.
