At least 1,500 "No Kings" protests nationwide are being held Saturday, the same day as President Donald Trump's large-scale military parade in Washington, D.C., to celebrate the U.S. Army and his 79th birthday.

The Chicago Teachers Union will be joining the "No Kings" march in downtown Chicago on Saturday, June 14, according to the union's website. The march is scheduled for the same day a massive military parade is set to take to the streets of Washington in an elaborate showcase of troops, tanks, weapons and aircraft.

Chicago has a busy weekend ahead with the No Kings Rally, the Puerto Rican Festival and Parade in Humboldt Park, the Taste of Randolph and Pope Leo XIV's Celebration Mass at Rate Field.
