La Crosse police say they continue to follow up on information in Heinz's death, but that criminal conduct wasn't involved.
La Crosse Police Department have reported that the body of Eliotte Heinz was recovered in the Mississippi River near Brownsville, Minnesota.
Heinz, a 22-year-old graduate student at Viterbo University in La Crosse, was last seen just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
An air quality alert was issued by the National Weather Service in La Crosse at 2:08 p.m. on Thursday, July 24.
La Crosse Police do not believe there was any 'criminal conduct' related to Eliotte Heinz's death, according to a news release.
