India's Parliament has been disrupted as opposition lawmakers protested what they said was mistreatment of 104 Indian immigrants deported by the U.S.

India has protested the US handling of Indian deportees, who arrived handcuffed and shackled from San Antonio in a military plane on February 5, confirmed the government while officially announcing PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Washington on February 12-13.

Left Democratic Front MPs protested against the US deportation of 104 Indian immigrants, claiming they were treated 'inhumanely.' They criticized the Indian government's response, urging stronger action against the mistreatment and calling for more dignity and respect for deported Indian nationals.

The Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Congress party staged a protest against the "objectionable treatment" of Indians who illegally migrated to the United States and were deported on a US military aircraft.

Indian nationals deported back to India aboard a military c-17 aircraft say they were shackled and chained. While President Trump has made deportations a cornerstone of his second term, it’s nothing new.
