The ICC have called a meeting of the executive board on Friday to finalise the venues for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 which is to be hosted by Pakistan.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is preparing to propose a hybrid model for the 2025 Champions Trophy, scheduled to take place in Pakistan. Reports from Cricbuzz on Wednesday (November 27) indicate that the ICC has convened a board meeting on Friday (November 29) to discuss alternative arrangements following India’s reluctance to travel to Pakistan for the February-March tournament.

Now a similar controversy has again emerged. With Pakistan set to host the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025, India is demanding a neutral venue for the tournament. The question for the ICC is whether it will accommodate India’s demand and deprive Pakistan of its full hosting rights or conduct the tournament in Pakistan without India’s participation.

The ICC is reportedly set to hold a virtual board meeting on 29 November to come to a conclusion regarding the fate of the 2025 Champions Trophy. India have refused to travel to Pakistan and PCB are not ready to host the tournament in a hybrid model.
