Four-time F1 champion Max Verstappen has experienced an unexpected setback at the Qatar Grand Prix as an FIA penalty stripped him of his pole position following an incident during the qualifying session.

Max Verstappen may have secured pole position for Sunday’s Qatar Grand Prix; however, he won’t line up P1.

Whether Verstappen starts on pole, however, remains in question. Race officials summoned Verstappen for an investigation into a potential impending incident that occurred during Q3 involving George Russell.
