San Jose Sharks Recall Ethan Cardwell From AHL
The San Jose Sharks have recalled forward Ethan Cardwell from the San Jose Barracuda, the team announced Thursday. Cardwell, a 2021 fourth round pick of the Sharks, has split time between the NHL and AHL this season. He has gone pointless in three games with the Sharks and has collected one goal and seven points in 13 games with the Barracuda.
Sharks Place Goodrow On IR; Recall Cardwell
The San Jose Sharks placed Barclay Goodrow on injured reserve and have recalled Ethan Cardwell. Goodrow left last night's game against the Ottawa Senators in the first period with an upper-body injury and didn't return. Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky did not have an update on the forward's status after the game.
Sharks' Ethan Cardwell: Recalled from AHL
The Sharks were down a forward as they placed Barclay Goodrow (upper body) on injured reserve. Cardwell played three games at the NHL level earlier in the season, but was unable to garner a point. Cardwell had a goal and seven points in 13 AHL appearances before his recall.
Sharks recall forward from Barracuda after placing Goodrow on IR
Goodrow took three more shifts in the first period before he left the game. The Sharks announced at the start of the second period that Goodrow would not return. This season, Goodrow has two goals and 23 penalty minutes and was averaging 15:17 in ice time in 24 games before Wednesday.
