BELLEVUE, Wash. — A shutdown on Interstate 405 will complicate weekend travel and could lead to congestion. Eastside drivers may need to plan ahead and use detours as the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) widens I-405 and adds express toll lanes.

Another weekend shutdown will make drivers detour on southbound Interstate 405 near Renton, while shorter projects will detour some travelers on Bothell’s Highway 522, as well as some riders on Sound Transit’s light rail 1 Line.
