Athletics to mark future in Las Vegas with jersey patch
The Athletics will be wearing a reminder of their eventual home on their jerseys this season. The A's will wear a "Las Vegas" patch on their sleeves, thanks to a three-year sponsorship deal with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
The $12 billion project will create a 218-mile rail line with stops in Rancho Cucamonga, Hesperia, Apple Valley and Las Vegas. The train, which will connect to Southern California’s Metrolink system, is expected to cut the roughly four-hour drive to Las Vegas down to about two hours.
