Orlando police held a candid conversation with teens and their parents Monday night about the importance of safe driving in hopes of making a lasting impact.
The Tavares Police Department has released additional details surrounding the brutal abuse of two boys, ages 9 and 10. Detectives said they were able to uncover the details of the abuse through information shared by the younger boy.
The younger brother, who is 8, told police he witnessed their mother, Kimberley Mills, and her boyfriend, Andre Walker, bind his 10-year-old brother to a ladder with duct tape and then drop a 10-pound weight on his exposed stomach, Tavares Detective Courtney Sullivan told the Orlando Sentinel on Wednesday.
The Orlando Police Department is investigating a crash in downtown Orlando. Investigators shut down all lanes of Interstate 4 heading West at South Street Saturday around 7 a.m. The road reopened to all traffic by 11 a.m. The Florida Department of Transportation says traffic was backed up for at least two miles to Princeton Street.
