The Spartans (3-0) suffered a series of injuries to key players while surviving a scare for a 41-24 victory against FCS program Youngstown State (2-1) on Saturday.

Star sophomore wide receiver Nick Marsh was seen on the sideline without his helmet and a wrap around his knee during the second quarter. The Spartans got the ball to start the second half and Marsh was not on the field or visible on the sideline. He did not return to the game.
