The first round of the 2025 NFL draft took place in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Thursday night. A rather large crowd should remain for the next few days as fans seize the opportunity to maybe get on television for a few seconds or watch Roger Goodell ride bikes and read names.

Fans were amazed and appreciative that the NFL's smallest city could host one of the league's biggest events, the NFL draft, and their mood was brightened ever more when the hometown Packers selected a wide receiver in the first round on Thursday.

Detroit Lions President Rod Walker threw shade at Green Bay earlier this week, saying the city had no chance of coming close to its 750,000 attendance record last year. That record is probably safe with Detroit. But Green Bay, with its population of 100,000, sure came to play.
