Nintendo has scooped up the remaining shares of Monolith Soft, after first buying 80 percent of the company back in 2007. The developer of Xenoblade Chronicles is now fully owned by Nintendo.

The Veilguard has been out for about a month now, and with the holidays approaching, BioWare and EA have put the game on sale for consoles. So if you’ve been waiting to try the fourth entry in the fantasy RPG series,

The Veilguard will have a timed trial available to EA Play subscribers across Xbox, Playstation, and PC, starting today.

The Veilguard hasn't been a surefire hit with everyone, but luckily the series' original designer has a new game on the way, and it's out soon.

"Varric wants people to see the best version of themselves," Epler says, "and part of the reason for that is that Varric doesn't always see the best version of himself. So having him be the person who gives you that opportunity [through the mirror] just makes the most sense, because he is a deeply compassionate character."

The standalone app is available on all platforms, and any characters you create are transferable to the full version of Dragon Age: The Veilguard as long as you buy the game on the same platform. So you can’t use the free character creator on PC and transfer your characters to console or vice versa.
