US envoys headed to Russia and Ukraine to relaunch mediation
The return of Washington’s negotiators raises hope of progress towards a settlement to end Moscow’s war on Ukraine.
MOSCOW/KYIV, Sept 4 (Reuters) - Russian state news agency TASS said the two U.S. envoys seeking to end the war between Russia and Ukraine would visit both countries on Saturday and Sunday, but the Kremlin declined to comment.
"We may be headed toward a more dangerous version of the 1962 Cuban missile crisis," one Russian expert told Newsweek.
