Concerns had been raised previously about a Coast Guard plane that was forced to make an emergency landing while carrying Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin on Wednesday.

A Coast Guard jet carrying Markwayne Mullin, the homeland security secretary, made an emergency landing at Ronald Reagan National Airport on Wednesday afternoon after an engine failure.

The pilot declared an emergency after the right engine failed, and safely landed at Reagan, according to Mullin and air traffic control audio.
