Organizers say there is still no power at the Caja Magica tennis complex that is hosting the Madrid Open, putting in jeopardy the resumption of play a day after several matches had to be canceled.

Officials for the Madrid Open cancelled Monday's play amid a blackout in Spain that impacted the tournament's facilities. The blackout caused a number of logistical problems at Caja Mágica with the scoreboards going dark and the loss of lighting to help fans navigate the venue:

Play was suspended at the Madrid Open the afternoon of April 28 before being canceled for the day and night, due to a power outage across Spain and the Iberian Peninsula. The loss of power meant that the electronic line calling (ELC) system used to judge whether a shot has landed in or out did not work,
