TOPEKA, Kan. (KCTV) - An Amber Alert has been issued as investigators search for a 2-year-old boy who was forcibly taken from his mother in Topeka. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation says that just after 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, the Topeka Police Department was notified of a possible child abduction.
New York State Police said the father of a 9-year-old girl who was initially the subject of an Amber Alert and was later found dead has been charged with her murder.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert Tuesday for a missing 2-year-old from Topeka. The missing child, identified as Zabe Mendez, was last seen Friday in the 500 block of Northeast Wabash Avenue, according to the alert.
