The White House is warning that veterans’ access to nursing homes, suicide prevention and other health services could expire if Congress fails to pass the GOP’s short-term funding bill.

Veterans in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley have several walk-in flu vaccination options through the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks this flu season.

With the federal government officially shutting down indefinitely at midnight Wednesday, certain services for local veterans in Augusta will be unavailable.

Now that agreement is at risk and Franklin County has told Washington state that it doesn’t plan to operate a replacement housing and homelessness services office if they do decide to split up. Teachers have also said they’ve had no word on what will happen to services their students need.
