Digest more
After the first round of the College Football Playoff featured two rematches of regular season meetings we have another in the quarterfinals, as No. 3 seed Georgia will square off with No. 6 seed Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl.
The 2025–26 season features 41 bowl games, including four college football playoff first round games, four quarterfinals, two semifinals, and the national championship on Monday, Jan 19.
The Sugar Bowl between the Georgia Bulldogs and Notre Dame Fighting Irish at the Sugar Bowl won't be played as scheduled after Wednesday's tragedy.
As a result, the Hurricanes will go on the road to face Texas A&M and Alabama will travel for a rematch with Oklahoma as the two standout games of the first round. The first round is rounded out by another rematch between Tulane and Ole Miss, and James Madison taking on Oregon as the biggest underdog of this year's playoff.
Our Mississippi vs. Georgia predictions expect the Bulldogs to get the better of the Rebels in the Sugar Bowl, just as they did back in October.
