Southern Miss linebacker transfer Chris Jones has flipped his portal commitment from Ole Miss to Florida State, On3 has learned. Jones originally committed to the Rebels on Jan. 5. Flipping Jones from Ole Miss is a massive recruiting win for the Seminoles.

According to ESPN, 20 of 26 defendants played during the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons. Four of the players charged — Simeon Cottle (Kennesaw State), Carlos Hart (Eastern Michigan), Camian Shell (Delaware State) and Oumar Koureissi (Texas Southern) — have played for their current teams in the past week.

The Troy Trojans (11-6) host the Southern Miss Golden Eagles (11-7) at Trojan Arena on Wednesday.
