An eight-foot long python has been rescued after a resident spotted it in their backyard. A Freehold resident called the Monmouth County SPCA reporting that a non-native snake was seen in their backyard, the organization said on its Facebook page. Video of the rescue was posted to its account.

"The local rescue unit didn't have the equipment to catch such a large snake."
