Before moving to Maryland, the team now known as the Washington Commanders played in Washington, D.C., at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium. The teams was there from 1961 to 1996, before moving 8 miles away to NorthWest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, formerly known as FedEx Field.
The Chiefs have agreed to move from Missouri to the Sunflower State in 2031, when they are expected to play in a new domed stadium in Wyandotte County, owner Clark Hunt announced in a letter to fans on Monday.
On Monday, it was officially announced that the Kanas City Chiefs are set to leave Missouri. They will be leaving Arrowhead Stadium behind, set to move to Kansas in a $4.4 billion move for the stadium and structure developments, per Bret McCormick at Sports Business Journal.
