OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. — A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in Old Saybrook on Wednesday, police said. Around 1:20 a.m., Old Saybrook first responders received reports of the crash involving a motorcycle on School House Road.
The crash happened around 3:40 a.m. at East Tropicana Avenue and Mountain Vista Street. According to investigators, a motorcycle was riding west on Tropicana toward Mountain Vista when a pickup truck tried to turn left onto Mountain Vista.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene when police and emergency medical workers arrived. He was identified as Edwin Serrano, an Oxnard resident. The SUV driver, a 19-year-old Oxnard resident, remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The accident remains under investigation as police are working to understand the circumstances surrounding this incident.
