Negotiations to end Donald Trump’s war in Iran were thrown into chaos again on Wednesday after the White House dismissed Iran’s latest terms and rejected reports of a draft peace deal as a “complete fabrication”.
The assessment contradicts U.S. President Donald Trump’s statements that Iran’s nuclear program was “completely and fully obliterated” after U.S. strikes, according to two people familiar with the early assessment.
A senior Iranian official denied claims that Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei had issued an order requiring enriched uranium to remain inside Iran, calling the reports “enemy propaganda,” Bloomberg reported.
Satellite images analysed by BBC suggest Iran damaged at least 20 US military facilities across the Gulf, including air defence systems and aircraft.
The deal, which has yet to be approved by the leaders of the US and Iran, comes as fighting resumes.
