Another week of data points means a new set of College Football Playoff rankings, and the latest edition was released Tuesday.
The college football season is heating up, and the preseason Top 10 teams have taken some very different paths. Some have lived up to the hype, while others have struggled to stay afloat as the playoff picture comes into focus.

That's 14 teams over six tiers, with 12 of those teams in the final four tiers. In other words, while Ohio State and Indiana have separated from the pack, the difference between Nos. 3 and 14 in these ratings isn't enormous. Any game between these teams on a neutral field would be up for grabs.
