Winter storm delays hundreds of flights at Reagan National Airport
Air passengers are slowly getting to their destinations following a weekend winter storm in the Midwest that created nightmares for those who traveled by air.
More than 100 flights were cancelled and over 785 were delayed out of Chicago O'Hare International Airport Saturday morning, according to Flightaware.com. The National Weather Service (NWS) issued multiple advisories for the Chicago region, including a winter storm warning, gale warning, and hazardous weather outlook.
A Delta plane slid off the runway during while landing at the Des Moines International airport in Iowa over the Thanksgiving weekend. The airport was temporary shut down.
Several flights have been affected by inclement weather and the subsequent closure of the airport following the incident.
